Configuring Video
In order to configure the video output click on “Advanced Output” next to your selected output.
In the new section that displays below, select “Video Settings” on the tabs.
Options displayed will differ depending on which encoder you select. Below are the most common used.
Video Encoder
Select which encoder if you wish to have it different to the one being used by the main OBS output. If not, select the same encoder as in your OBS settings. This will not add extra need for resources if it is the same.
If your streaming computer runs two graphics cards this can be useful for both to be used at the same time for each service output. i.e. Twitch - NVENC H.264 & YouTube - Quicksync AV1
FPS
Change the amount of frames for this services output
Rescale
If your service doesn’t support your main OBS streaming encoding ouput, you can rescale this through the multistream plugin.
Rate Control
Select at which amount of data to send to your service during live streaming. This output will change depending one which encoder is selected above
Bitrate
Select the bitrate of which to have your stream sent to the service. Please check your what your platform supports in order to find out the maximum you can set this at in order not to run into issues
Keyframe Interval
Change the parameter that determines how often a full-frame (keyframe) is sent to the selected service
Profile
Choose at which profile to use, we suggest using high. However if there is any lag or issues with your stream, tailor this to using main.
